At the Lion d’Or 1774, our dining options celebrate the bounty of the Sologne region and the Loire Valley.
Under the direction of Chef Didier Clément, our Michelin-starred restaurant and our breakfast service offer authentic and inventive cuisine, where local ingredients, such as goat cheese, game, river fish, and seasonal vegetables—are creatively showcased. Every meal is an invitation to discover the flavors of our region, from Loire Valley wines to the house specialties for which we are renowned.
Our wine cellar, one of the most comprehensive in the region, invites you on a culinary journey through the heart of the great terroirs of the Loire Valley. From Sancerre to Vouvray, via Chinon and Saumur, each bottle has been selected for its excellence and its perfect pairing with Chef Didier Clément’s cuisine.

The Michelin-starred chef cultivates a sense of travel without leaving home. From his readings, his encounters, and his walks in Sologne, subtle and deeply flavorful creations are born.
Didier Clément’s cuisine is infused with nods to the history of gastronomy, gained through his travels with his wife Marie-Christine, while remaining resolutely contemporary.
In 2023, the Michelin-starred restaurant was awarded the Green Food Label, an eco-responsible certification recognizing cuisine committed to sustainable development.
For many years, Le Lion d’Or 1774 has cultivated a deep understanding of tea, thanks in large part to Marie-Christine Clément, wife of chef Didier Clément and an expert on this precious leaf.
Today, we continue this tradition by offering you a rare and exceptional selection, including: Pu’er Chu Cha or Seng Cha from Xishuangbanna (Southern Yunnan, China), rock oolongs from the Wuyi Mountains (Fujian, China), Oriental Beauty (Taiwan), and black tea from the Nilgiri Mountains (Munnar, India).
These teas are available as food and tea pairings at the restaurant (upon request) and at the gourmet shop.
— Served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the restaurant every morning, or on the terrace when the weather permits.
